LSWO "La Familia" Keynote Speakers
Dr. Adrian Aguilera is a Professor in the School of Social Welfare at UC Berkeley and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UC San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Aguilera directs the Digital Health Equity and Access Lab(link is external) (dHEAL) and previously directed the Latinx Center of Excellence in Behavioral Health.
Dr. Kristina Lovato is an Assistant Professor of Social Welfare at the University of California, Berkeley, where she also serves as Director of the Center on Immigration and Child Welfare Initiative (CICW) She is also an inaugural member of the Latinx & Democracy Cluster at UC Berkeley

Clinical Social Worker, Educator, and Author
Author of “Trabajo Social Clínico en Puerto Rico.”
Pioneer in family therapy and forensic social work in Puerto Rico, she reflects on the intersections between clinical practice, trauma, and the colonial experience from a local and historical lens. Key Information for Conference:
September 17 and 18th, will take place at the University of Illinois-Chicago, located at 750 South Halsted Street, Chicago, Il. Enter thru the doors, veer to your right and take the escalator up. Volunteers will direct you to the conference. Please arrive by 8am. (Parking across the street from Conference site.
September 19: Erikson Institute is hosting the last 1/2 day of this conference. This program will start at 9am. This school is located at 451 N. LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL 60654. This will be in downtown Chicago. Please arrive by 8:45am.This program will be from 9am to 12pm.
Continuing Education Form: University of Illinois-Urban/Champaign School of Social Work is providing the CEUs. Therefore, licensed professionals will need to have their form signed by volunteers, for each program they attend, during the conference. At the end of the conference, return the document to the registration desk. (Note: We cannot accept forms after the conference.)
Program available: The program will be available to download at 6pm on 9/13/26.
Eateries: There are places to dine within the Student Center. We will have a break for all to have lunch on their own.
